QuiltPass uses your device location only at the moment you tap “Check in” or upload a photo, to confirm you are at the shop. We store the shop you checked into, the distance, and the time.
Photos you submit are stored together with your account identifier and the location your device reported at upload time. Approved photos are displayed publicly on QuiltPass and may appear on QuiltMap — see the Terms of Use for the license you grant when uploading. You can request removal of your photos at any time.
Some shops post a QuiltPass QR code. Scanning it with your phone's camera opens a check-in page; we still confirm your location the same way. We don't store the scanned image, and the camera is used only to read the code.
We never sell your data. Location is not tracked in the background.
